Impromptu session in Del Mar, Scout doing his thing, us on the grass, and the ocean in the background. Not a bad way to spend some afternoon time.

These two LOVE LOVE LOVE each other. Our neighbor who lives in the canyon.

Bruce and Scout in Encinitas.
These two had such a synced up relationship, I just adored watching (and being part of) their constant play. :)
Scout and Lucy in San Luis Obispo.
Lucy is 20 years old and still trucking along!
Scout and the goat in Pismo beach.
They startled each other on the ice plant prior to the goat trotting away onto the beach. Sweet moment.
Scout and Cocoa.
It didn't take these two long to become fast friends. Both males, both non-dominant, both sweet as can be. They got to accompany each other during my recent trip to Northern California. Cocoa loves to warm the feet of humans, and Scout loves to warm the hearts of humans. Both bring about peace to any situation. Memories that last forever. (Circa. Early August 2017)
Catherine and Scout at Del Mar Beach.
When Catherine, the author of three books on poetry, came to town, Scout and I were so excited to finally meet her in person. I reviewed her first two books that were published by the Tattooed Buddha and Rebelle Society, and her final book of the 'Goddess' anthology, she asked me to contribute an essay prior to publication in December 2017. It's titled "Venus and Scout" and appears in her latest book, alongside 29 other beautiful poetic contributors. Grateful.
Scout's 4th birthday pose.
He loves to sit and chill on the couch near my work area, to ensure that I remain on point with my day to day tasks. Whenever he gives me that look it could mean one of two things: "hey, I'm just doing my thing over here and you have this tendency to snap a photo right in the middle of it" Or "C'mon Mom, you know I'm camera shy, but I love your spirit and energy, as I know you do mine."
That's what this face means. He said so.
Scout and Otis.
These two were peas in a pod, watching the morning commute in Carlsbad every day for five days, and warding off predators (crows, squirrels, you name it).
Scout - the early years. (2015) North Park SD.
His first crack at independence was when he left my lap whilst we were porch sitting and his awareness of the surroundings sparked his curiosity. It was a moment, to be sure. Our beginning - the porch.
Gold sand on Coronado island.
I was in the midst of shelling, and the sun hit the gold under our feet and paws just right. I had never seen it before. How beautiful to be a witness to it with toes sitting and sinking into the gold. Felt magical.
A Wily Gang in Solana Beach.
The large dude was Scout's favorite play buddy. I couldn't believe how gentle he was with my boy. We stayed the entire day, took all three on walks to San Elijo Lagoon and the remainder of the hours was play, stalking each other, jumping patio barriers, and basically running around. At one point we all laid on the bed and snuggled. That was sweet.
Bella and Scout in Carlsbad.
Bella was still learning her way into this life, as she didn't realize how big she was compared to Scout. She had this cool understanding who was the 'real' boss in that relationship. And it wasn't me. :)
My brother and his pups pay us a visit in SD.
It's all in the family with us, our love of dogs, our need to be surrounded with their paws and smells and hearts, it's a mantra. Jim was celebrating his birthday with Scout and I, and I believe during this candid he'd never felt more alive and at home.
My adventure bag.
Whenever I bring this bag out, Scout sits beside it (or on it) to let me know he's part of the picture and trip. This is a ritual he grasped early on as well. That red bag from Peru goes everywhere with me, as does Scout. We're a team on the road. Always will be.
Jackson and Scout - January 2018.
This elder pup is our current next door neighbor. He runs over every chance he gets, pushes the front gate open, sniffs around, says hello to me and Scout, and goes back home. Jackson's a real joy and gentle soul. He even got to absorb some yoga energy as I practiced outside in the sun whilst he was visiting. We also had our first beach experience together this day, when I took both of these adorable creatures to the bay for some romping with a million other canines. So...much...fun...
Super Bowl 2018.
Six or seven different Yorkie mixes were circling Scout with curiosity. They were all rescues, thus the bond between them all. Scout loved the attention and had a fondness for the tiniest one, weighing in at three pounds. Awwww.......
Scout giving a hero welcome to UPS delivery people.
He has such a love for these humans.
Joshua Tree - May 2018
The most magical experience. Here Scout contemplates our next step.
Us in Joshua Tree (May 2018)
Scout and I are better together than apart. Time in the desert and we’re on a new path.
Desert cousins
Scout with his beloved cousins in AZ. They all had their own agenda, as per usual. Love them so.
Resident denizens of AZ and Scout invoking his calm.
There’s about 25 more tortoises that roam the property, although these are the gigantic one’s from the Mojave Desert. They love to eat lettuces straight from my hand. Scout is always his curious self, and respects their space and energy. #slowmoving
John at Now Media Group
He’s letting us writers know that Scout and him shared a sweet moment of lap-sitting and face-licking. Made me melt, for sure.
Scout and the gorgeous moth.
He found this and was gentle with the site. Alerted me to their presence. I don’t know the gender of moths, but woweee, was this a beaut!
Scout keeping watch in Ojai
As part of our recent adventure, and the first leg of our overnight stay, Ojai has all the magic we hope for and then some. Love this place.
Kitty and Scout
He was smitten with her, and she was smitten with him. A child from England, and an entire family full of love and adoration for the new bride at the wedding we all attended in the Santa Cruz mountain area.
Carmel beach hunting and total bliss
My heart goes all kinds of love in this small city. Once a resident, always a love for Carmel. Scout found small things in the rocks to hunt, as well as the majestic Pt. Lobos highlighting the background scenery. Our friends here have been (and will remain) lifelong. We stopped over for a few days en route to our destination for the wedding on 8/18/18 (total synchronicity number!)
Scout made several friends at the wedding
During the outdoor ceremony, where we were all sitting on gloriously decorated hay bales, Scout made the rounds. He even joined us dancing late into the evening. Excellent wedding. Excellent time. Excellent adventure. Excellent connections made.
Scout sniffing a flower at our 8/18/18 wedding in Ben Lomond
I’ve written about this adventure in a previous August post, but we had a professional photographer at my dear friend’s wedding, and he was smitten with Scout. As were many. Gave me goosebumps the entire time we spent there.
Scout Doing His Thing
There were plenty of young folks at the wedding in Ben Lomond and Scout was all over their energy. His DNA shined! They loved it.
Scout in the thick of it all!
We danced the night away and Scout was always around, curious to what we were doing. It was the most fun we’ve had in eons.
The hay bale party couch.
When most of the guests left, the die-hard family and close friends remained to carry on the bliss. Since we were staying in a lovely camper on the property, we joined in on every event. Our hearts were involved and it was the most memorable time of our trip.
The Neighbor Girls
A whole paw/human pile of love.
Scout and Bruce Watching Netflix
Ha, it was me really—but they joined in and relaxed whilst I indulged.
Scout and Stella
Mutual respect between these two.
Suited up and ready to visit the kids
En route to Rady’s Children’s Hospital in San Diego, right before Christmas holiday break. Incredibly fulfilling.
Impromptu Visit with a Family at the Park
The kids were beside themselves with joy once they encountered Scout at sunset.
Christmas Day 2018
Scout was ready for a slew of guests and new dog friend.
Salon Visit
We spent time at a hair salon and each guest received a warm lap welcome from Scout.
Scout Meets the Horse named Dancer
On our trip to Arroyo Grande, and passing through for two nights, we got to meet the locals. Not just the incredibly kind humans, but all the hooves and paws that resided near our Airbnb.
Warmth by the Fire with a Dear Friend
Our Carmel, CA hosts, who also happen to be lifelong friends, built an incredible fire for us to catch up on years’ worth of conversation over the holidays, and Scout wanted to impart his own joy and empathy.
A Pre-Christmas Visitor
This homeless man came by our house to ask for donations for the children and homeless, offered us candy bars (well, me..) and Scout gave him a warm greeting and he loved it.
Purple Heart Recipient
2018 was a year for Scout. He earned it and I gave it to him.
Carmel Beach - where the dogs roam free
We met so many people and so many pawed friends. They asked us about Scout’s book, and I gladly obliged commentary. Excellent locale for spiritual beginnings.
Scout in his Element
I say “jump!” He says “how high?!” Never a dull moment with this pup. Too much fun.
On the Road
He keeps an eye on me whilst gassing up. “Objects in the mirror” as one of my dear friends so eloquently stated. Scout doesn’t miss a beat.
Bruce and Scout taking a breather
And watching where the cat was headed….. :)
Fiesta Island Romp
Scout’s taking this 8-month old pup on a high speed chase around.
Scout and the Pygmy Goats
Our stay at an Arroyo Grande farm and these goats didn’t know what to make of Scout’s jumping and play. They thought he was one of them!
Hiking with Kyle.
She’s almost 13 years old and still going strong. She helps Scout pace himself and he helps her be more puppy-like.
New Year's Eve in Ojai
We explored numerous trails surrounded by the gorgeous Santa Lucia mountains. I could feel the vortex energy of the place, as we stayed at our favorite ranch and met new guests and their dogs. Best area to send off our 2019 intentions into the universe.
Coronado dog beach
Starting off 2019 with a visit to reconnect with the stretch of sand we love so much. His pals were happy to see him.
Sending a message.
Whenever Scout gives me that signal that it’s either time to walk, time to chill out, time to go on an adventure, or time for food, I listen. He has a way of going straight to my heart (and other’s too)!
Scout exploring the desert
A lil’ pit stop in Arizona. He’s always got something to check out. And he leads the way based on his senses.
Geraniums Galore! (February 2019)
We visited Mom in Scottsdale, AZ and Scout was by her side at all times. He picks up on her energy and realizes her 89 year old self could use a dose of healthy joy. The balcony at her condo is loaded with color and curiosity. He gets it.
Scout - frisky and confident in Anza Borrego desert (March 2019)
Sunrise over the vista in Anza Borrego desert (3/2019)
Glorious and soulful.
Relaxing outside our tear drop trailer in Borrego Springs.
Soaking in the morning sunshine.
Pooch, our 12 year old Yorkie friend.
She’s got style. She’s the queen of her roost, and she is about the cutest thing you’ll ever be around. Scout loves her as both of them tend to get distracted with the simplest of things. It’s the terrier way. :)
Scout wants me to go in the pool - AZ desert house 2019
He’s not a swimmer by nature, however if I jump in and coax him long enough, he feels more secure. He’d rather do laps AROUND the pool than IN the pool. Such a crackup, he is! A wonderful trip in May 2019 for Mother’s Day and I was in the pool every day, as well as exploring the new surrounding environs with Scout. Love the desert this time of year. :)
This is what it's all about.
Winnie took a bit of time to get comfortable with Scout and I in her home. She’s never been so exposed to strangers, and after two days, she gave me her signature sign that all is well. Thanks Winnie. We love you too.
Looking Up at the Gnats Flying Around. - May 2019
They were captivated. This endeared them to each other—the simple act of going after the same bugs and having that ‘hunter’ nature. Winnie was better at it than Scout, although Scout can jump much higher. They had fun!
Winnie at Fiesta Island. - May 2019
She ran her heart out. She stalked Scout the entire way around, except when she was getting her feet all sloppy wet. This was her first time off-leash and near the water. She also had incredible recall when I asked her to return to me at certain points during the roundabout walk at the bay. Best place for dogs off leash. The sight of her with so much joy makes me smile. :)
A mother's love in AZ.
Scout had numerous swimming milestones, and of course I had to applaud his efforts. He’s not a natural born fish. In fact, whenever he gets too close to the water, he’s kinda scared. With the temperatures soaring to way over 110 degrees, we found ourselves in the pool daily. It helped his skills and boosted his confidence. Don’t you just love his life vest? :)
Scout and his cousins in AZ - July 2019.
After a romp in the backyard in blazing temperatures, these fur babes were anxious to go back in the house. It’s a balance with all four. They love to bake their furry bodies in the sun, even during the hottest hours, yet when they’re ready to come inside, I need to be ready to heed their call. Love them to pieces.
Our Neighbor.
This is our neighbor, who was mama to Jackson the pup. They had to say goodbye to Jackson in late May, as his cancer had spread and was incurable. When she gave birth to her baby boy Ashton, we took care of Jackson for a few days. He was one sick pup. It broke all of our hearts immensely when Jackson passed away in May. I’ve dedicated an entire chapter of Scout’s next book to Jackson, our beloved Labrador neighbor. Here’s Scout paying a visit to his mama, because she’s always in need of a dose of paw love. I might add that Ash is the cutest baby I’ve ever seen, and Scout makes certain he goes over and says hello as often as possible. Ash already loves Scout and vice versa. xo
Scout and Bruce. Peas in a pod. Our 10/2019 visit.
Bruce and Scout.
They have such an affection for each other. Our Encinitas gig was chock full of so much joy, and here’s just one example.
Walking with Dexter and Scout.
This visit in La Jolla was completely off the beaten path. Both pups had the adventures of their lives! Off-leash most of the time, beach walks, golf course walks, Torrey Pines Nature Preserve walks, this was a two-day gig worth every ounce of love. (10/2019) #yourstrulywalkinginsync
Bruce at Fiesta Island.
His first time here and his first time off leash. He ran like the wind, left Scout in the dust, and I had to capture just how happy he is. A sweet moment, for sure.
Old girl Kylie and Scout.
The wise 14 year old still has it! I took these two to Granada Park in Phoenix to stretch their legs and run free after the rains. We did get caught in some showers, but their energy was inspiring! Not only are they best friends and cousins, but Scout helps Kylie get around. He leads her in the directions she’s supposed to go, as her vision and hearing aren’t all that great. A true 8 Paws Wellness mission.
Scout and Marley
Another one of our Arizona cousin pups, Marley girl. She’s the same age as Scout, yet has a real stubborn and territorial side to her that I love. When her fur-ever people were gone on Christmas vacation, she ended up sleeping with me and Scout, which is quite a new thing! She took up half the bed and allowed me to cuddle her throughout the night, which is a rarity. Love.
Scout and Vida ready for yoga 2020!
These two are genuine soulmates. They’ve known each other for 5 years, and we’ve been able to take care of Vida on so many occasions that she’s become almost family. This is our final session with her before Scout and I move up to the Central Coast. TYG.
Scout and Bruce at Fiesta Island - buddies forever.
Our San Diego neighbors - 2020
We had a goodbye dinner with them and of course Scout is first in line to show his love and appreciation for being the best neighbors we’ve ever had. TYG.
Ready for Yoga
Loves the sun. Loves the vibe in Cambria.
Exploring our new digs.
Sunset and squirrel overlook.
We get to hike to this handmade wooden bench most every night and I can’t even tell you how happy it makes me that Scout is always on point and ready for action!
Emmy and Oscar
Our Cambria neighbors who like to cruise in and out whenever they please, and we absolutely love it and welcome it!
Oscar
His mama tells us that he learned how to shake at just 10 weeks old. Oscar is now two years young and shaking up a storm, without being prompted! Both him and his sister, Emmy, are named after the Academy Awards. :)
Blue and Scout, sizing each other up.
We met this new boisterous pup at Cayucos State Beach. He stalked Scout on the trails and after a good session of who is boss, they played like crazy! Love…:)
Scout on the hunt
He gets it. My nerves were okay, but after lots of this going-to-the-edge behavior, I realized that he’s six years old, full of confidence and fearless. I learn from him, thankfully.
Scout and I doing our part for COVID-19
We’re sheltering in place, yet also taking our daily immune-boosting hikes in nature to maintain wellness, maintain physical distance from others, and maintain contentment. Be well….
Our neighbor Lucy
She comes over now to say hello and play with Scout, all by her lonesome. They’ve become best buddies during this virus dilemma, yet remember that dogs can interact and still bring us joy. They don’t spread or carry COVID-19! Lucy is a wonder dog, too.
Morro Bay dune play on a foggy May afternoon.
There are soo many gophers hiding out among the ice plant and interesting flora that grows in the sandy dunes. Scout’s on it!
Driftwood and Scout--peas in a nature pod
A unique creation on Cayucos State Beach that left Scout curious about where to begin his sniffing, and ultimately which side of the driftwood to pee on and mark his territory.
Scout and Bruce at Morro Bay Strand Beach (June 2020)
Bruce came into town on the Central Coast and we had the joy and privilege to get to spend a few days taking care of him. These two are best buddies for life—first meeting in Encinitas (San Diego’s cool North County town) —and carrying on their friendship forever. Soul paw buddies.
Bruce and Scout in Cambria - 2020
Running free and happy on our hike.
Sea Lions (or sea dogs!) -- the kinship with Scout
Every time we hike this San Simeon trail above the cliff, no doubt a bevy of sea lions are basking in the sun on a rock. Once they start barking when I wave hello (!) Scout runs down the cliff to offer up his own hello. He won’t go in the water, as he’s more of an earth pup, but he IS WAY curious about what’s out there and their kinship in dog spirit. :)
Our neighbor Emmy
Between Emmy and her brother Oscar, these two cutie neighbors of ours here in Cambria come by often to bask in the sun with Scout. The mutual respect and happy vibe they share is palpable. :)
Scout in Cayucos
A quaint hippie beach town a little south of us and he led the way on our adventures. Clearly. :)
Scout and Emmy and Oscar
Our neighbors who love to hang out and Scout loves for them to hang out wherever they feel most comfortable.
All the friends at Morro Bay beach
Everyone of these paws was curious about Scout and that makes us both happy. :) Not one single shy person in this photo.
Scout and his new puppy friend Max
They ran and ran and ran. The forever people of Max mentioned that he doesn’t do that with every dog, so see? Scout is one special being. :)
Raucous play at the beach in Cayucos
Scout has this thing where he takes whichever paw is game on a chasing mission. To watch both pups in action is truly a delight beyond words. Agile, strong, energetic, fun—both of us can’t seem to get enough of these meets and greets. They always go somewhere!
A teenager chocolate lab who followed us all around.
More play at Cayucos dog beach.
Charlene and Scout
One of our neighborhood cats who Scout actually loves and respects. She’s a dream.
Scout clearing the water ditch in San Simeon
One of our favorite hikes near Hearst Castle.
Our 6-year old neighbor Emerson and her pup Carlos.
We greet these two daily, during her Zoom school at home break. She’s always ready to give us a hug and I’ve been told that Scout is the only pup friend who will play with Carlos. Pretty cool.
Scout and Arizona cousins at 2020 Thanksgiving
We drove for two days to reach our family. Only 4 of us in attendance, and due to the pandemic, we ate outside and pretty much lived outside. Great to be with family, especially the pups.
My brother Jim and one of his pups named Chato--after a soccer player. :)
He has 3 dogs, who Scout adores. All cousins and all rambunctious and full of joy. Thanksgiving 2020.
Buddies in Cayucos

On the road to AZ
With a packed car and a smiling Scout, we drove from Cambria to Scottsdale to help out with Mom’s care.
Scout relaxing at sunrise in Joshua Tree
A pink camper and a glorious sunrise to launch us into April 2021. :)
Scout on duty at an AZ restaurant
This elderly gent shared with us during our outdoor seating time, that he had just lost his beloved fur babe of 13 years. Scout sensed it and left my side to go tend to his grief. It was rather awesome. :)
Trucking down Shangri La Road in Scottsdale
Our hang for two months in Arizona. Every morning we explore and observe. Today’s sky was sensational and peaceful. TYG!

Being in Arizona to help Mom and her needs, we find that Scout jumps on her lap, gives her a smile, and all is well. That’s who we are and this is some of what we do! :)
Scout giving his joyous vibe to a guest in Los Osos
He senses a need and goes straight to the source. That’s Scout. She welcomed his energy and it was a beautiful thing to witness.
New friends meet at Scout coffee shop in San Luis Obispo
How cool that we took a time out on a beautiful Central Coast day at a coffee shop bearing my pup’s namesake. This boy was the kindest and sweetest!
Scout and the kiddos
We’ve been attending an outdoor community concert in Los Osos ever since summer began. Kids, adults, dogs, laughter, you name it and it’s there. Once these youngsters got wind of Scout’s nature, they all grouped over and the rest is “face-licking” history! :)

There’s never a shortage of kids wanting to hug this pawed love. Makes my heart sing.
Neighbors from San Diego have come for a visit in Cambria!

Somewhere between the light and the dark, our hearts connect and we carry our 8 Paws Wellness mission forward.
Thanksgiving in Arizona, and a new puppy named Jasper!
Scout has a new cousin, the cutest terrier rescue on the planet! We ventured over to my brother’s house for an hour or two to meet Jasper and watch him in action. He’s about the most rambunctious pup ever. Here’s my bro-in-law, Thom, keeping them all in line.
Our Trio of Goat Friends in Atascadero
In addition to caregiving for pups Emmy and Oscar, we’ve added these 3 beauties to our roster. Scout absolutely loves them! Etta, Butch, and Sundance — all incredibly fun companions for all of our paws and humans.
Scout's 8th birthday with his best friend -- besides me.
Greg and Scout now have a beautiful rapport and it gives my heart such joy.
Scout on his 8th birthday.
Happier than ever whilst listening to an elephant seal talking back to him. Animal communication — the best.
Full of sass closing in on sunset
One of our favorite spots is San Simeon. Today (his 8th birthday) we ventured over to catch the waning hours of the sun. So awesome.
Scout never misses a chance to say hello to other paws at the beach!

A field of lupine in San Simeon
One of our favorite afternoon hike breaks!
Kids and Scout -- the BEST kind of connection there is!
This mama and her babies welcomed Scout into their world. I sat back and let it happen. The child grew up with dogs so she gets it.
Scout and his coffee shop joy-spreading
He never misses a chance to visit tables, perhaps reminds patrons that he’s around and would welcome a treat, or simply gives his unabashed doggie persona to those in our vicinity. He’s such a crack-up, I love it!
Joy Spreader
A long walk over to the local golf clubhouse and this one couldn’t contain his energy. He met all sorts of people and was even granted a piece of fresh bacon from a member of the wait staff.
Scout and the elderly -- a match made in heaven.
Wherever we go, if there’s an elderly person who takes the time to feel Scout’s joy, their day is transformed. This gentleman said Scout made his day. :)
Nadine and Scout
The local pot-bellied pig gives everyone reason to pause. Once Scout gets near her, they bond and more paws (and hooves) are to be had — alongside joy and smiles!
Scout Waiting for Greg
This has become a thing now. I love it. :)
Going Solo on the Morro Strand
While waiting for his pup friends to show up, we took a long walk at low tide. There are always new smells and new sights and new feelings to be part of, so away we go!
The Sweetest Moment
This man was deaf and Scout befriended him in such a way as to affirm why we’re 8 Paws Wellness. The man almost cried with the interaction. He gave me a ‘heart’ sign with his hands and I about lost it. Scout has a gift for those in need.
Scout and Admirers at Shale Oak Winery
We had an afternoon tasting in Paso Robles with close friends and family. It was hot but Scout was cooled by all the loving attention.

The most joyous match ever!

These two hit it off from the get-go. How blessed that we met her and her family and were able to share in the smiles. Thank you, Scout!
My Cambria hairdresser
Shelly and Scout have become good friends—always willing to be calm and be loving. :)
November sunset in Cayucos
After an early din, Scout, Greg, and I walked over to the pier and cherished the colors and the fabric of this sunset. Greg’s a water guy so every chance he gets to be near the ocean, we’re on it.
A Friend at the Deli
He never misses a chance to see if someone will share their sandwich, ha! What a fun pup—and willing soul who loved having Scout near.
My Niece Olivia Getting Some Scout Love
Thanksgiving 2022 in Arizona, Scout was his usual joyful and loving self. :)
Out and About
Meeting everyone is in Scout’s DNA. He has no shortage of spreading his joyful, curious, and empathetic self.
Diane and Scout at L.A. Christmas gathering
We ventured down to Hollywood and gathered with Greg’s Mom, brother, grandfather, and others to celebrate the holidays in style. Diane here adores Scout. :)
Coffee Shop Greetings
It’s inevitable — Scout greets everybody at coffee shops and makes them feel comfortable and good. After much petting, this nice gentleman was more than okay with Scout being at his feet. :)
Ella and Scout
We just met this young and gregarious child at lunch today, and she was ALL ABOUT Scout. Never left our table. The two of them hugged more than ever, it was really sweet and tender. :) Something about the unconditional love from children truly hits home for Scout. Probably because he offers the same.
Diane's birthday celebration in Montecito
Greg’s mom was ecstatic with Scout’s joyful interaction once he realized she was at the table. It was blissfully personified!
Scout's Shrine and Sanctuary
We dedicated this space to Scout. His ashes are in a small box on the right side shelf, surrounded by goodness and love. I get to sit at my desk and do yoga with his energy all around. Greg gets to lift weights in the same room, knowing Scout approves of his strength. The word LOVE in purple is now painted over the French double doors that lead to this room, Scout’s room. Thank you, God.
Jasper Waiting For His Person
One of the Arizona pups I’m caring for right now, on April 26, 2023. Apparently, he loves the kitchen table. Closer to my workspace! LOL.
Chato Chillin'
Another Arizona pup adores the patio couch during the onset of the heat. Although it’s only the mid-80s, it still is hot for their paws on the pavement. He’s 8 years old and going strong! 4/26/2023
Our new fur baby, Wizard. Loving up on Greg.
Day one at home!
Love and more Love
Learning the fake grass in the back of the truck. New pee area!
Wizard at 15 weeks
Sitting in front of our OZ room. How fitting is this?
Extreme Love
Post surf sesh and these two needed a moment to cherish. Success!
The Weisberg family on Evan's 26th birthday
What a great celebration for Greg’s son—and Wizard, who adores him!
Vida and Wizard
Kind of like old times in San Diego, except my beloved Scout isn’t in the picture anymore and Wizard has taken over with his love and companionship. Vida is our dear friend who is up visiting in Cambria for October/November. :)
The Trio
Before adventures, our neighbor wanted to capture the moment.
Wizard on the move at the bay
A stone’s throw from our house, we catch the sunset with a shallow tide. He understands how to walk off-leash and explore without going ballistic all over the place. Awesome puppy we have!
Wizard at 6 months young!
This little brown gentleman has a penchant for boat hopping—all over the bay by our house and anytime someone stops to collect their kayak to venture out on a paddle. He’s right there in the thick of it, loving the energy. Such a fun and adventurous pup we have! TYG.
Wizard helping his daddy with yard chores.
At 7 months young, this amazing and intelligent pup of ours keeps upping the ante on his shenanigans. The old rickety wheelbarrow eventually became a new chew toy, lol!
Wizard and his local paw pal, Bizzy.
Every time these two get together, it’s not only a raucous play session, but once Bizzy rests, Wizard tries to make a bed on Bizzy’s back. The funniest thing ever… :)
Is it time to get in shape?
Now that he’s growing into a confident boy, Wizard gets a kick out of jumping onto our recumbent bike and feeling like a king. ;)
